Your AncestorPress subscription is billed annually through Freemius. All billing management is done through your Freemius account at ancestorpress.com/account.
Downloading invoices #
- Log in at ancestorpress.com/account
- Go to the Billing or Invoices section
- Download any invoice as a PDF
Invoices include your billing name and address, the product purchased, and the amount charged. If you need a VAT invoice or need to add company details, see below.
Adding company or VAT details to invoices #
- Log in at ancestorpress.com/account
- Go to Account Settings or Billing Details
- Enter your company name and VAT/tax number
- Save changes — updated details appear on future invoices
Freemius does not retroactively update previously issued invoices. If you need a corrected invoice for a past payment, contact support with the invoice date and your required billing details.
Upgrading your plan #
- Go to ancestorpress.com/family-trees/pricing
- Purchase the new plan
- Enter the new licence key in AncestorPress → Account to activate
Upgrading from a previous plan does not automatically cancel the old subscription — cancel the old plan separately via your account to avoid being charged for both.
Cancelling your subscription #
- Log in at ancestorpress.com/account
- Go to Subscriptions
- Click Cancel Subscription
Cancellation stops the next automatic renewal. Your licence remains active until the current expiry date — you do not lose access immediately. No partial refunds are issued for unused time remaining on the current period.
After expiry, paid features (Appearance settings, member photos, multiple Family Groups, export) are no longer available but your data remains in the database. You can reactivate by purchasing a new plan at any time.
Refunds #
Refund requests are handled case by case. If you have a problem with the plugin, contact support before requesting a refund — most issues can be resolved quickly. Freemius has a 30-day refund policy for new purchases.
Renewal reminders #
Freemius sends a renewal reminder email before your subscription renews. If you do not want to renew, cancel before the renewal date via your account. If a renewal payment is taken unexpectedly, contact support within 30 days to request a refund.
