The Client Page (Pro)

1 min read

Each engagement can have a private page for your client, reached by the client link you make on the Plan & Agreement tab. It carries your branding and nothing from your theme.

What it shows #

Sections appear only once there is something in them:

  • Overview - the title and research question, the stage the work has reached, anything waiting for them, the hours used (if you show hours), the latest update, a link to your invoice, and further offers once the work is delivered.
  • Scope and agreement - the plan, the cost, and their agreement.
  • Progress updates - the updates you have published.
  • Research log - the searches you have chosen to show, including the ones that found nothing.
  • Reports and files - what you have sent, and the sign-off of the work.
  • Your questions - after delivery, their remaining questions and your answers.

Progress updates #

On the Updates tab, write a heading and what has happened - bold, italics, lists and links are allowed - then Save as a draft or Publish to the client. A published update can be taken down or edited later.

Hours #

If hours are shown, the Overview reads "6 hours used of the 10 agreed", or "6 hours spent so far" when no hours were purchased. Turn this off for every engagement in Settings, or for one on its Billing & terms tab.

Telling your client #

The plugin does not email your clients. When there is something new for them - a plan to agree, an update, a report - let them know yourself; their link always shows the latest.
