AncestorPress Family Trees is free to install and use. Two paid plans unlock additional features for larger trees, more chart types, and advanced customisation.

All plans use the same base plugin. Upgrade by entering a licence key in AncestorPress → Account — or use the Upgrade and Change Licence options on the plugins page.  No reinstallation needed.

Free plan #

The free plan is sufficient for a single family lineage. You get full access to GEDCOM import, the vertical descendant chart, member search, and basic display settings such as a shortcode and Gutenberg block. 

Pro plan — £49.99/year #

Pro is the right plan for most users who need more than the free plan. It adds unlimited lineages, an Ancestor/Pedigree chart type, dedicated profile pages with photo galleries, custom fields, GEDCOM export, and chart edit controls. A single-site licence.

Pro Plus plan — £139.99/year #

Pro Plus adds additional chart types (Hourglass, Horizontal Descendant, Descendant Compact Text, Ancestor Horizontal), the browseable member directory/index, and full chart appearance customisation including custom colours, fonts, and gender colour indicators. A single-site licence.

Upgrading #

Upgrading can be done from the Account or Pricing page in the plugin sidebar menu or on the plugins page of your site. After purchase you receive a confirmation email from Freemius containing your licence key. Enter it in AP Family Trees → Account to activate. Paid features unlock immediately with no reinstallation or deactivation required.

Changing or cancelling your plan #

Log in at ancestorpress.com/account to upgrade, downgrade, or cancel. Cancellation stops the next renewal but your licence remains active until the current expiry date.
