Step 01
Install the plugin
Install AncestorPress - Family Trees from the WordPress plugin directory. Activate it and the AncestorPress menu appears in your dashboard. Download from WordPress.org →
Step 02
Import your GEDCOM file
Go to AncestorPress → Import, give your family a name, upload your .ged file, and click Import. Your family members, relationships and events are created automatically.
Step 03
Embed on a page
Add the shortcode to any page or post. Your interactive family tree is live.
About GEDCOM
Already have genealogy data? Import it in one step.
GEDCOM (.ged) is the standard file format for genealogy data. Every major genealogy platform can export it.
If you've been building your family history on Ancestry, MyHeritage, FamilySearch, MacFamilyTree, Gramps, Family Tree Maker or any other genealogy software, you already have a GEDCOM file waiting to be imported.
